How do I reduce my ppt file size?
If you have created a presentation with lots of images, it will probably be very heavy and difficult to send by mail or save in a floppy disk. To reduce its size you can compress all the image files in it using a new image compression feature PowerPoint 2002 and 2003 include.
- Click on an image to display the picture toolbar. In case you do not see this toolbar, you can right-click on the image and choose 'Show Picture Toolbar'.
- Then click on the "Compress pictures" button in the picture toolbar and choose "All the images in the document". Use Web/Screen for the smallest size.
How do I insert background music that plays all through my ppt?
- Choose Insert, Movies and Sounds, then choose Sound From File. Locate the sound and insert it. A sound icon will appear. You can drag it off the slide or hide it behind a picture if you don't want it to appear during your presentation.
- A message appears asking if you want the sound to play automatically. If you click "No" the sound will start playing when you click your mouse.
- Right-click the sound icon and choose Custom Animation. The Custom Animation pane opens with your sound file listed.
- Click the arrow directly to the right of the sound icon and choose Effect Options. In the Play Sound dialog box, choose the Effects tab.
- In the Stop Playing section, choose the After XXX slides option. Enter the total number of slides in your presentation. Note: PowerPoint counts each display as a slide, so if you show some slides more than once, they count. To make sure the music will not stop playing before you finish showing your ppt, enter a much bigger number.
- Click OK to close the dialog box.

How can I embed my slideshow onto a blog or website?
Try Slideshare or Zoho Show
Another way of integrating your presentation into your blog is to take screenshots of each slide and then upload them to
http://www.bubbleshare.com- you can integrate the resulting slideshow very easily, and even add audio for each image if you want to. (Graham)
You can easily get the screenshot .jpg files to use in a Bubbleshare from your ppt by "Saving as ...HTML" from the File menu in PowerPoint. The resulting .jpgs of each screen will be found in a folder with the same name as the resulting htm file. (Elizabeth)
